Uwe Leonhardt and Heiko Roß, who was appointed to the Board of Management at the beginning of 2021 as a long-standing member of UMaAG’s Advisory Board, lead the company in a predictable and consistent manner. The bundled experience and the joy and ambition in the constant development and expansion of renewable energies, especially in the field of wind energy and biomass – but not only – are reflected in the sustainable success of the medium-sized company.

Uwe Leonhardt
Mr. Leonhardt holds a master degree in business administration with a major in taxation and controlling (Dipl-Kfm.) Uwe is well experienced in the management of large projects and general business development. In 1998, he founded Umwelt Management AG in Cuxhaven. He is responsible for operations, capital raising and new business development.
Uwe Leonhardt is also an active member of the Rotary Club Cuxhaven, the BUND Niedersachsen, IHK Stade and the Bundesverband WindEnergie. As chairman of the BWE Regional Association Elbe-Weser-Nord, Mr. Leonhardt organizes 3 networking events per year in the region. Speakers at the networking events are usually renowned representatives of companies and organizations from the world of renewable energy and innovation, climate and species protection. In his spare time, Mr. Leonhardt is very active in all sorts of sports: he is an active cyclist, plays roller hockey and has been a passionate kite-surfer all his life; up to this day he travels to beaches all over the world where the wind blows most heavily and where he can enjoy the ‘ride’ with and above the waves.

Heiko Roß
After completing his studies in electrical engineering with a focus on electrical power engineering, Heiko Roß held various management positions in Germany and Switzerland, most recently as Managing Director at GEWI GmbH in Hanover, one of the major direct marketers in Germany. As a member of the board at Umwelt Management AG UMaAG, Heiko Roß is responsible for technical operations management, international projects with a focus on Poland and ‘special projects’ (including biomass, projects for sector coupling, electrolysis).
