Cuxhaven/Esterwegen, 30.06./05.07.2021 Although unspectacular and within a small circle, it is nevertheless an important milestone for Esterwegen in terms of climate protection: Daniel Schütte, Head of Project Management at UMaAG, and Stefanie Harms, Project Developer at Energiequelle, commissioned a public e-fast charging station in the Rathaus car park on Wednesday, 30.06.2021, together with Christoph Hüntelmann, the Mayor of the Nordhümmling collective municipality. Uwe Leonhardt, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Umwelt Management AG, is very committed to the establishment of the e-charging station: „We are making our contribution to the energy transition wherever we can: on a small scale, as here in Esterwegen, as well as on a large scale with our wind farms, biomass power plants, and planned solar facilities.“
The construction and commissioning of the e-charging station is being carried out in connection with the repowering of three Enercon E-58 turbines, which were replaced by two Enercon E-138 turbines in October 2020 by Umwelt Management AG UMaAG and Energiequelle in Esterwegen. „We are delighted about the installation of the charging station. E-mobility represents an important pillar of the energy transition,“ said press spokesperson Susanne Tauke from Energiequelle.
