From the land to the wind turbine
With 394 wind turbines in over 50 wind farms, UMaAG is one of the driving innovative forces in the development and implementation of renewable energy concepts in Germany.

Land acquisition
The UMaAG is your reliable partner if you wish to lease your land for wind turbines.
As an owner, you will benefit from the revenue of a future wind farm. We focus on fair contracts and aim for a balanced partnership, without making unrealistic „bait offers“. Let's advance the energy transition together – feel free to contact us for an equal partnership.
Our Approach
From the outset, we actively involve landowners, residents, local authorities, and politicians in the planning process. Our aim is to create a sustainable solution for wind energy priority areas through individual leasing concepts, participation models, and transparent communication.
Project development
Our project development team is driving the planning and construction of wind turbines.
First, we assess areas based on legal, spatial, and nature conservation requirements. In dialogue with plant manufacturers, we then select site-specific suitable plant types and calculate the economic viability of the projects, including attractive participation models. We develop initial designs for the installation of the plants and create financing concepts in cooperation with partner banks and investors.

FAQ
You ask and we answer!
Biomass is convincing in its versatility and its ability to provide controllable energy – as a solid, liquid, or gaseous energy carrier that can generate both heat and electricity. With our technical expertise in planning, construction, and operation, we contribute to the stabilisation and flexibility of a renewable energy system.
In our Lease model is there a distinction made between revenue and minimum lease payments. The Revenue putty represents the direct percentage share in the later turnover of WEA. Therefore, the revenue participations are also referred to as Percentage offered.
Since the future Revenue wind turbines strongly from the future Wind speed is dependent on the location, and we still want to give you a certain level of security, we also offer the so-called Minimum lease an. The Minimum lease will be paid to you regardless of future wind generation.
The basis is usually so-called wind potential areas, which, if successful, are legally designated as wind priority areas. Their design is based on criteria developed by the planning authority (district or municipality).
Predominantly, these involve distance criteria, for example, from residential areas, roads, or nature and landscape protection areas.
As the final land-use plan, on which the wind turbines can subsequently be built, has not yet been finalised at the time of contacting you, but also for reasons of solidarity with the local landowners, we generally work with defined Remuneration areas. This means there will be an additional distance, also called a buffer, around our determined Areas of wind potential laid. This results in the Remuneration area of the wind farm. This means that a larger number of landowners can be included in the lease pool in order to participate in the Rental income to benefit from the wind farm. This increases local acceptance on the one hand and simultaneously enhances the probability of the wind farm's implementation on the other.
Another important topic is the division of rental income, the so-called Lease model. We usually make one or two suggestions, which we then discuss with you to agree on the lease model with the most common denominator, taking into account local conditions and your wishes.
Fundamentally, when dividing a lease, we distinguish between a Land lease and a site lease. The land lease will be paid to all owners proportionally to their land size within the compensation area. The Site lease is also paid to all landowners on whose land wind turbines are subsequently erected. The ratio between land rent and site rent can be tailored to suit their preferences. In most cases, this ratio accounts for 80 to 90 per cent of the total rent, which is Land lease is paid out, plus 20 to 10 % as a site lease.
For the paths and crane standing areas, as well as the laying of cables, separately also Rent paid.
The final position of the wind turbine is subject to many factors that we can only influence to a limited extent. These may include matters concerning the German Armed Forces, flight safety, or nature conservation. Therefore, we cannot promise you generally which plots of land the wind turbine will ultimately be located on. However, you will benefit in any case from the Land lease of the wind farm. In principle, the foundations and rotor blade clearance areas of the wind turbines must lie within the wind potential areas, while the setback distances may extend beyond them.
