Following a long illness, our long-standing friend and dedicated supervisory board chairman, Prof. Dr. Werner Beba, passed away on 27.02.2023.
Werner Beba was a member of the UMaAG Supervisory Board since March 2007 and took over the chairmanship in March 2009. He was highly valued and respected by all of us. Werner held a professorship for Marketing at HAW Hamburg and was the head of the Competence Centre Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency (CC4E). He tirelessly advocated for the energy transition, implemented the Curslack wind farm with us, and innovative projects such as NEW 4.0 or North German Real Laboratory driven forward with a great deal of power. Werner Beba leaves behind a wife, a daughter, and a son.
His passing is a great loss for the UMaAG. Our thoughts are with his family.
