Lohne / Vechta Wind Farm

Vechta district, Lower Saxony

In 2003, we were able to erect seven Vestas V80 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 2 MW. The turbines have a hub height of around 100 m, a rotor diameter of 80 m, and reach a total height of approximately 140 m, resulting in a total installed capacity of 14 MW. Commissioning took place in 2003. In the following years, the project was supplemented by repowering measures: modern turbines such as the Enercon E-147 EP5 were added, with a hub height of 138.38 m and a capacity of 5 MW, significantly increasing the efficiency of the wind farm.

With an annual production of around 30 million kWh, the wind farm supplies approximately 6,500 households with clean electricity and makes an important contribution to the energy transition.
