Bredenborn Wind Farm

The Bredenborn wind farm was built next to the Holzhausen wind farm in the early 2000s, with Holzhausen, with its 15 Enercon E-70 wind turbines and a total output of 30 MW, long being one of the most powerful sites in the region.
Repowering plans for both sites were and are in full swing. In Bredenborn, a Nordex N 149 turbine has been in operation since 2022.
The plan is to supply around 28,500 households with clean electricity in the future with an annual production of approximately 100,000 MWh and to save over 70,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually.
