The town of Ilsenburg (Harz) and Umwelt Management AG (UMaAG) have, together with HarzEnergie GmbH & Co. KG, launched a pioneering project that aims to supply Ilsenburg with regionally generated heat and electricity. The goal is to establish a modern district heating and local heating network, thereby actively driving the energy transition.
A crucial step was taken in mid-July 2024: the funding application for the Federal Funding for Efficient Heating Networks (BEW) was submitted and approved in November.
End of 2024, citizen participation counts: By the 20 January 2025 can all women and men from Ilsenburg help to advance the project by Questionnaire fill out. This helps to determine the exact requirements and to begin planning the route.
All important information about the project can be found on the specially set-up website. www.ibe-ilsenburg-bioenergy.de. Here you will find current updates, background information, and the link to the questionnaire.
Together with its citizens, Ilsenburg is shaping its energy-independent future – sustainably, regionally, and innovatively. We are delighted to have the trust of all involved to help implement this exciting project.
