Dialogue instead of incitement

Democracy is the foundation of a free and just society. The cornerstones of democracy are diversity, respect, and the ability to find viable solutions to the challenges of our time through debate. However, these very cornerstones are increasingly under pressure: radicalisation, polemics, and demagogic slogans are on the rise, creating a climate that divides rather than unites. At the same time, obtaining facts is becoming ever more difficult – „fake news“ is (unfortunately) a buzzword of recent years.

Memorable, but dangerous promises and loud denunciations of „fake news“ endanger social cohesion, weaken democratic discourse, and sow mistrust. In times of growing uncertainty, it is more important than ever to foster dialogue – a dialogue that is based on facts and characterised by respect, openness, and the desire to achieve progress together. Issues such as internal and external security, climate protection, social justice, and the sustainable and economically sensible shaping of our future do not require quick answers, but rather constructive, well-considered, and therefore majority-understood solutions.

The upcoming federal election offers a key opportunity for active engagement. Every vote is an expression of responsibility and commitment. By voting, each and every one of us sends a signal for the fundamental democratic idea – for dialogue instead of incitement, for cohesion instead of division. A strong turnout shows people's interest in their democracy; in this way, we can collectively defend the values that underpin our society.

As a company committed to sustainability, innovation, and responsibility, we stand for values that strengthen the fundamental principles of democracy. We strongly reject radical and divisive rhetoric and wish to encourage active engagement in building a society where co-determination, respect, and collaboration are practised.

Our democracy is a valuable asset, which must be embraced by everyone. It requires commitment, openness to new perspectives, and a willingness to take responsibility.

We are entering into dialogue and not letting emotions become facts, help to dismantle prejudice and work together to strengthen the foundation for a free, just, and sustainable society. Together, we build trust and confidence.
